Boot & Shoe Inn

As a single female traveller I felt comfortable there. The staff were brilliant and friendly, the guy serving breakfast was great, very attentive and the full English was fantastic. Room was clean and the bed huge, had a great stay. The pub has a lovely atmosphere and I'd definitely stay again.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, the breakfast server was very jolly which was nice to see, and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of breakfast beverages, tea/coffee, juice, etc. The room was lovely, with historic decor, beams, partial stone wall, and classic looking. The landing and rooms have interesting Tarzan wall art.

We love the location having stayed in the area before. Always visit the Boot and Shoe but the first time we have stayed. The room was comfortable and the pub and garden lovely with a friendly atmosphere. Staff helpful and one member of staff ? Chloe sorted us an early breakfast as we needed to leave early for a swim event.

Location was fantastic in a beautiful village, loads of walks around the village then back to the pub for a couple of pints and a superb dinner, lt was great staying on the edge of thr lake district 14 miles north of Keswick rather than in centres where you can't move for tourists. A very friendly pub with great staff. Our room was comfortable with a huge bed and a large walk-in shower which was fabulous. We ate there on the evening and the food was very good, to be recommended. The breakfast the following morning was excellent.
